The Royal Rumble is in the books, and the Wrestlemania build is looking better than ever. Seriously. At this point in time, it’s difficult to not be excited.
Alex is very intrigued about the Wrestlemania direction, and throws out several scenarios with the title picture now that Edge has returned.
Alex also praises the work of Shawn Michaels, and the segment with Vince and Bret Hart. Alex says what he thinks the best way to approach the Legacy break-up feud is.
In the “Finisher” segment, Alex talks about the death of the ECW brand and how stunning it is that nobody is really talking about it.
The “piledrivin’ post of the week” is handed out (www.thesportspodcasters.com/boards).

You can have your ups, and you can have your downs, but the ups and downs of the Wolves this past week have been pretty astonishing. Joey discusses two lopsided games with the N.Y. Knicks, one a 27 point loss, the other a 21 point win, these among two other fairly lopsided games in each column. We also get into further trade talk, from David Kahn quotes. Call into our phone lines at 209-736-7877.

It’s the beginning of February, it’s Super Bowl week, so Alex feels it’s a good time to take a step back and assess where the Red Sox are.
Alex briefly goes over each major acquisition of the winter, and gives his take on whether the Red Sox are better (on paper) than the Yankees. Because after all, that’s the main competition. Can defense and great starting pitching make up for an offense that’s taken a step back? That’s one of many questions that Alex attempts to answer.
In the “Around the League” segment, Alex reacts to the rumors that the Rays may look to relocate, and also wonders if Johnny Damon has overplayed his hand on the free agent market.
The “post of the day” is handed out (www.thesportspodcasters.com/boards) too.

Joey discusses what a difference a week can make, the Wild goaltending
suddenly is great, the local club suddenly is scoring early (accept for the Colorado game), and Josh Harding wins in a 1-0 game! Goal support, smothering defense, and jumping out early prove what the Wild can be, even without a great roster, just wait until they have one!

Alex previews this year’s Royal Rumble in the “finisher” segment, and throws a couple of scenarios at the listener. Alex states why he has changed his opinion, and feels that Randy Orton will not win the WWE Championship, and what that means for the Rumble and Shawn Michaels.
Alex speaks about the general direction towards this year’s Wrestlemania, and how with the strong headline programs (Bret Hart/Vince and Shawn Michaels/Undertaker), the WWE Championship match may not be all that vital a part of the card.
Alex also comments on this week’s RAW and Smackdown, as well as TNA. The “piledrivin’ post of the week” is handed out too (www.thesportspodcasters.com/boards).

The Wolves go 0-3 the past week, two of them ended on the final play of the game, in ugly fashion. Bad defensive plays and bad defense in general continues to plague this team, and in Milwaukee it was just plain bad. Al Jefferson rumors are resurfacing as well, its all a matter of time.
